Sky Riders Motel

Close to the event I was attending and close to freeway, yet no traffic noise at all. Place was clean and comfortable with a big tv, and a small microwave and refrigerator. Since I have to be gluten free, I brought my own food so the microwave and refrigerator were essential. The bed is firm, but not hard so I got a great sleep. Nash, who checked me in, was very nice and handed me the Wi-Fi code along with the card key...did not have to look for it nor ask for it. He was also able to accommodate me with a non-smoking ground floor room...queen size bed just for me. I will stay there again and recommend it highly for a short stay.

They just remodeled a lot of the rooms and did an excellent job everything was all nice and brand new and shiny and clean...the only thing I didn't like was that since everything was so new, the tub was extremely slippery so I sort of slipped and got hurt, but nothing major. Other than that I have no complaints and I'd stay here again. :)

Older yet clean comfortable motel across from Executive Airport within walking distance to a few eateries plus a quaint market to buy things from chips and socks to beer and fresh hot pizza. The motel rooms are generously sized and easily accommodated my wheelchair without being a disabled specific room. Stall shower so no tub soaking but hot water with shower wand make it pleasant and a clean mini fridge and microwave are a plus. Dish TV table 3 chairs and what I considered enough drawer space plus blackout drapes in a quiet area provided me four restful nights. What makes the Sky Rider wonderful is the owner Nick with his ready smile and gracious manner. Hard times hit me with the loss of my home and I was given a voucher for short-term lodging, a first for me. I arrived in a paddy wagon as that was the only way our officers had of transporting my electric wheelchair. Shout out to Sac PD for your burly muscles and such kindness to this she'll shocked old woman. Meanwhile Nick greeted us with respect and great cheer then patiently helped with paperwork as the remaining officer was new to voucher system. Nick showed me to my room where I quickly settled in with the requested blanket and instructions on a comically quirky heater that rapidly took the chill out of my old bones. There is lodging plenty in our valley, many being quite upscale but if you don't have someone like Nick with his genuine warmth cheer and compassion it becomes just another dreary not-home room. Nick made me feel at home and I am indebted to him for that as I deal with troubles of suddenly being homeless. Four stars for a clean comfortable motel and the fifth for Nick himself. May every prayed to deity bless Nick and his family always because he is such a good man.

We stayed here for 3 months, as a result of the Pandemic. My husband is on an organ transplant list. I am very grateful to the owners and staff of Skyriders, who made a difficult time much more bearable. They were very kind and considerate. Especially they respected our privacy. They strictly kept the room quarantined and that helped us tremendously to feel safe. The room itself was comfortable and well appointed. The furnishings were good quality and attractive. The mattress had a pillow topper. The location is convenient. Highly recommend.

Pleasantly surprised! I needed a place to stay near the Pocket area over Christmas. I've stayed at some of the cheap places along I-5 in the past that were really rundown or downright scary so I didn't want to go back. Sky Riders was awesome! The room was reasonably priced, in very good condition with an updated bathroom, the beds were super comfortable, and most importantly, I felt safe.

My experience at the Sky Riders Motel was excellent, from the moment I arrived the customer service was exceptional (Thanks Nick) the area is very good and I really enjoyed my stay.

This is a family owned business and they are all very polite, and welcoming. They always try to accommodate you and your needs and the rooms are nice sized and have always been clean when I've a guest there.

I really like it here. Its low key,. All the rooms are.furnished with microwaves n small refrigerator. A rare find .A motel where you still have a choice, smoking or not smoking, without a large $ deposit. I rarely ever stay anywhere else.
